The Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Bandar Seri Begawan will be organising its first public business forum on 28th October 2024 entitled “Succeeding in a Small Economy” at the J Hotel.

 

According to Mr Lim Han Chiong, the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, “the business forum is designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities that the SMEs are facing in this small economy. Through the forum, we want to engage in a constructive and practical exchange with thought leaders and experienced business operators who have weathered the storms and have ridden on the waves of success through digital technology and foreign trade exchanges on the secret to succeeding in this unique landscape and era.”

 

The business forum will feature a keynote address by Dato Timothy Ong, Chairman of Asia Inc Forum as the guest of honor, along with two essential and timely topics for panel discussions to stimulate innovative ideas and new opportunities by bringing in people from multiple and unexpected sectors.

 

The first panel discussion entitled “Prospering Together” brings together leaders from corporations which include financial institutions and tech and communications, Brunei’s Economic Development Board and foreign trade partners to ask the critical questions of how the CCC business community can work together with each sector to foster partnership for mutual business benefits.

 

The second panel discussion, “Collaborating Outside the Box” encourages the CCC business community to establish break through by expanding their business networks and collaboration beyond the Chinese business community by inviting the leaders from the National, International and Indian Chamber of Commerce along with YEAB to discuss ways of working together.
